Will the Super Bowl be Stollen?

Super Bowl LIX

There have been some social media posts concerning the expectations for today’s Super Bowl. They’re not posts about which team will win or if the game will be rigged. They’re posts questioning if today will be about more than just football and commercials.

This isn’t the first Super Bowl we’ve been anxious about, but there are many reasons our anxiety may be ramped up for this game. President Trump will be there as the first sitting President to ever attend the big game. Taylor Swift fans will be excited to see her jump around every time Kelce makes a play. A lot of people watch the game for the commercials and there’s a rumor that this year’s ads might be a little more memorable. Elon Musk reportedly spent $40 million of his own money to announce the great work that DOGE has been carrying out. There’s a lot to be excited about for a lot of people.

Of course, the halftime show will be worth missing. If a performer gets the offer to perform at the halftime show, they should realize they’ve reached the end of their career. You’d think with all the money the NFL has they’d schedule performers that the majority of people want to see. I don’t know who that is but I’m pretty sure it’s not whoever is performing today.

Pause…

Okay so out of curiosity I looked to see who will be performing. My apologies to all the rap fans out there. Today’s halftime show will be Kendrick Lamar. Apparently, he is regarded as one of the most influential hip-hop artists of his generation, and one of the greatest rappers of all time. Maybe I’m wrong and more people will be watching just to catch the halftime show.

All eyes are on the Super Bowl today, which may be one of the reasons people are feeling anticipation about the game. That and the Sum of All Fears vibes. The biggest reason for the anticipation is probably the expectation that we’ve had since October 2017.

I’ve made so many predictions that I won’t get involved with the Super Bowl anticipation. If something happens, I’m prepared for it, but history has shown that I’ll wake up tomorrow just like every other Monday.

STOLLEN

Who am I kidding. I can’t help myself.

Since President Trump brought it up again this week, today’s word of the day is…STOLLEN.

Have you noticed how often he uses that word instead of the correct spelling? According to the archives, he’s used the word ‘stollen’ dozens of times. President Trump doesn’t make mistakes. Just as the immigration chart that he loves so much keeps me awake at night, so does his use of the word ‘stollen.’ Has anyone come up with a good reason why he uses that word? Even if it were a mistake, it would be quickly corrected, and he wouldn’t continue to use it. It’s not a mistake. As I feel he often does, he’s calling our attention to it for some reason.

What is stollen? It’s a bread containing nuts, spices and candied fruit. In my quest to figure out what he could possibly mean, I did some research on stollen. Although I can’t pinpoint exactly what he’s trying to tell us, I do believe there is an underlying message here. My research took me down a lot of dead-end paths and some things I had to dismiss, while others are still working their way through my mind.

Stollen originated in Dresden, Germany. At first, I thought Dresden may be connected to the International Court of Justice that I explain in Global Justice. Since I wasn’t able to find a connection between Dresden and the members of the court or where the court is held, I dismissed that theory.

The similarities between World War II and the war we’re currently living through can’t be denied. Not to diminish the horrors that people experienced as far as the physical war, the psychological aspect of the two are similar. War crimes, crimes against humanity, Nazis, communism, those are the similarities. Yet probably more than half the population still hasn’t realized it.

The City of Dresden played a significant role toward the end of World War II. It remained largely untouched during most of the war and was one of the few remaining functional rail and communications centers in 1945. For this reason, a joint British and American attack was carried out on the city. Over a thousand heavy bombers struck the city of Dresden between February 13-15, 1945. The attack was meant to cause panic and confusion. It was shock and awe by the allies in WWII and was considered the “Holocaust of Bombs.”

Dresden was the main center of communications for Germany and was considered a target of the “highest importance.” The final air offensive at Dresden was designed to end the war as quickly as possible. A British Air Commodore told journalists that the primary goal was to attack communications to prevent the Germans from moving military supplies, and to stop movement in all directions. He also said that “the raid helped destroy what was left of German morale.”

They say that history is written by the victors and sometimes it seems like the media thinks the Nazis won. After watching more depressing YouTube videos than I care to admit, it was difficult to find any that justified the bombing of Dresden. The videos I watched contained stories of the civilian women and children that were murdered during the bombing. Any loss of life is horrifying, and casualties of war is not justification. The Dresden bombing was not classified as a war crime, but you’d never know it from the videos I watched. While the historians speaking of the horror of innocent civilians killed during the Dresden bombing, they seem to leave out the horror of the innocent Jews that were killed by the Nazis.

Just as many Americans don’t understand the crimes committed against us, many Germans didn’t understand the depth of the crimes committed by the Nazis. President Roosevelt and the Allied forces sought to ensure that every German citizen knew what the Nazis had done. From Global Justice:

It was important that German citizens were made aware of the [Nuremberg] trial. Americans worked with the German media to report on the Tribunal. Billboards were erected with pictures of the atrocities committed by the Nazis. Films were commissioned to document the horrors of concentration camps. Dramatic posters with images of evidence from the trials were created and posted everywhere. Most Germans either denied supporting the Nazi Party or swore they couldn’t do anything about it. It was important to convince them that their ignorance was inexcusable.

In my tinfoil-covered brain, I can’t help but imagine the posts about something happening today actually coming true. If they did, we have to remember that Patriots are in control and we are watching a movie. If something happens today to provide a visual of what could happen if Patriots weren’t in control, I imagine the retaliatory carpet bombing of information that would be shown in the coming days. Just like the Dresden bombing on February 13th, many people would be taken completely by surprise.

It is shocking to me how many people are still so completely unaware of what has happened to us and our country. They make up much more than 4-6% of the population. The obstructionists in Congress and the scene outside of the USAID office both have American citizens supporting them. What are they thinking?

To me there’s only one way to shake people from their Marxist-induced stupors to start rebuilding our country. I’m not giving up on the theory I wrote about in ‘IP Addresses, What IP Addresses.’ I don’t see how we get this country back on track, quickly, any other way. President Trump doesn’t have time to wait for people to suddenly gain the understanding that they need to work toward Making America Great Again, for all of us.

This was supposed to be a quick note and I’ve spent too much time on it. I have no idea what will happen and I have no idea why President Trump uses the word ‘stollen.’ These are just my pre-Super Bowl ramblings. My only hope is that I live long enough to learn what the hell he means by ‘stollen’ …and his immigration chart, of course.
